Logical Fallacy
A logical fallacy is an error in justifying an argument which eventually causes the argument to be invalid. There are several types of logical fallacies such as
1. Ad homniem - This is a attack on the person rather than the argument
2. Ad ignorantum - This is an argument which claims something to be true just because it hasn't been proven false yet
3. Bandwagon - reasoning that is vague or unfit
Unfortunately such fallacies have slipped into popular media at a large scale.
For instance, this meme below showcases a bandwagon logical fallacy where the old man uses an unfit argument for defending his smoking behavior.
